Gee is Chief Operating Officer and Head of Legal & Business Affairs at AIM. She joined AIM in 2017, and has since been instrumental in the development of AIM’s Digital Distribution Switch Code and its new Associate Membership knowledge hub, as well as support for the independent music community in response to Brexit and Covid-19. Her previous experience includes several years working with Cooking Vinyl, Essential Music & Marketing, FatCat Records and others and, earlier, in technology and live events. She sits on IMPALA’s Board, and committees for Digital and Copyright aspects, chairing their Metaverse Committee. She also sits on the Rights & Legal Affairs and Policy Committees of UK Music, is an observer on the VPL board, sits on the Steering Group for Music Week’s Women in Music Awards, and recently joined the board of UD Music Foundation, an organisation fostering diverse creative talent. She is passionate about contributing to positive change in the industry and in facilitating the independent music community’s continued innovation and success in its evolution in conjunction with technology.
