Janneke van der Wijk is one of the Executive Directors of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, with responsibility for Audiences. She oversees Marketing and Communications, Development, Audiences and Education.

Before joining the Rijksmuseum, she was Director of the ELJA Foundation, a new entrepreneurial philanthropic foundation supporting innovative initiatives in the arts, with a strong focus on performing arts.

Before this, she served eleven years as Director of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, an internationally renowned institution offering education in classical music, pop, jazz, EDM and contemporary music. Earlier, she was Director of Music Center the Netherlands, the national organisation bringing together several key music institutions, including the Dutch National Pop Institute, and supporting talent development, international exchange and the wider music industry.

In addition to her executive roles, she has served on several boards in the cultural sector, including TivoliVredenburg, one of the Netherlands' leading music venues. She currently holds board positions at the Netherlands Museums Association, the Museumkaart Foundation, the ELJA Foundation and the Prinsengracht Concert Foundation.
