Martin Clarke is a project manager and senior researcher at Panteia with extensive experience in EU-level cultural policy research, stakeholder consultation and comparative analysis for European institutions, particularly DG EAC. He has contributed to a wide range of studies covering cultural and creative sectors, cultural participation, working conditions of artists, cultural heritage, music, discoverability, cultural funding and the role of culture in wider EU policy priorities.
Martin is closely involved in the European Expert Network on Culture (EENC), supporting the coordination of a large network of cultural policy experts working on behalf of DG EAC. He also previously supported the European Expert Network on Culture and Audiovisual (EENCA), giving him long-standing experience in mobilising expert knowledge across Europe and translating complex cultural policy evidence into clear, policy-relevant outputs.
His recent work includes the study on the discoverability of diverse European cultural content in the digital environment. This builds on his broader experience in digital and cultural policy, including work on artificial intelligence in the cultural and creative sectors.
