Head of Program, Podium de Vorstin
Quirina Geijsen is Head of Program at De Vorstin, a music venue in Hilversum, the Netherlands, where she is responsible for programming and booking the music program. The venue hosts over 200 shows a year across its 850-capacity main hall and 275-capacity small hall and is also home to Patat Met, a monthly showcase for emerging Dutch artists that has been running for almost 10 years and presents 30 artists each year. At De Vorstin, she also developed the 035 Popprijs, a talent development initiative spotlighting emerging artists from the region. Alongside her work at De Vorstin, she regularly speaks on talent development, the social impact of live music experiences, and the live music ecosystem. Fun fact: during her master’s in Social and Cultural Anthropology, she researched hip-hop moshpits.
