Owner, &Concept
Remko van Bork (1958) studied Musicology in Amsterdam. He then worked for 15 years at Kunstgebouw as a music advisor. In 2000, Van Bork co-founded &Concept, an agency for advice and organization in the arts, together with Machteld Dicke.

In 1986, he debuted with Jan Jacobs on Popmuziek Het Geluid Van Jongeren (Pop Music: The Sound of Youth), a report on a study into pop music preferences and consumption, commissioned by Kijk- en Luisteronderzoek and published by Coutinho.

In 2008, Van Bork published 395 Minuten, Amateur-Popmuziek in Nederland (395 Minutes, Amateur Pop Music in the Netherlands), a description of Dutch pop culture based on a national survey on amateur music-making, conducted by TNS NIPO.

In 2012, he published Talentontwikkeling en Amateurkunst (Talent Development and Amateur Arts), published by Kunstfactor. The co-author is Machteld Dicke.

Van Bork gained knowledge of the (Rotterdam) pop scene as a jury member for the Grote Prijs van Nederland (The Grand Prize of the Netherlands), chairman of the Rotterdam Pop Advisory Committee, Popunie, Bevrijdingsfestival Zuid-Holland (Liberation Festival South Holland), Kunstbende Zuid-Holland, and as a member of the Arts Committee of the City of Rotterdam.
