Sarah Glennane is the CEO of the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland, a representative body for Irish based professional composers for screen, an organisation which she helped to setup in 2018. Sarah is a self-taught music professional with many years of experience working in performance and recording music sector as a band manager and publishing administrator with independent artists and later working in screen as a music supervisor. Sarah holds a BSc in Marketing with research dissertation in Marketing and the Arts and a certificate in Music Supervision from Berklee College of Music. Sarah has a special interest in music rights and in empowering creators to lead their own careers, to accessing a fair share of the revenue their music creates and to hold knowledge on how their industry works and be instrumental to changing it. In 2017 Sarah authored An Examination of the Music for film & TV Sector in Ireland report for the Irish CMO’s IMRO/ MCPSI. Sarah lectures in Music Rights at BIMM college, Dublin and frequently guest lectures and speaks on industry panels.
