Simon works as a lecturer and researcher at Breda University of applied sciences (NL), involved in the programs Urban Life & Placemaking and the Master Strategic Events Management. His interests lie in the fields of leisure, (social) innovation, cultural venues and creative industries. He is a board member of Popmonument, a music festival that aims to contribute to musical experience and the historical identity of a city by initiating and organizing pop festivals and events in a monumental setting, in Dutch cities such as Bergen op Zoom, Middelburg and Breda. Simon is chief editor of Uncover magazine and is involved in several innovation projects together with government and entrepreneurs in creative industries.
