Showcase NOORD

Each year, HUB NOORD becomes the hub for Northern pop culture during ESNS. Together with musicians, policymakers, festivals, and pop organizations from the northern Netherlands, NOORD organizes a program packed with panels on creating within pop culture and (international) talent development. In the evening, HUB NOORD transforms into an ESNS stage, where participants from the NOORD projects Hit the North, Up North, and Go! showcase their work to artists, visitors, and professionals from the European music industry. The hub collaborates annually with various parties. This year, Minerva presents a music program featuring artists from the Academy for Pop Culture. Other Minerva students have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work through De Nieuwe Editie. NOORD NOORD, the relatively young collaborative initiative between Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS), Noordstaat, Popfabryk, POPgroningen, and Stichting Kunst & Cultuur, is committed to the development and professionalization of creators and acts from Northern pop culture. In addition to the hub, NOORD is also involved in Popgala NOORD and MEET@AIR, where part of the NOORD lineup is presented.
