Ala.ni has soul and lots of it. The songwriter from London and Paris, raised by Grenadian parents, opened many eyes and ears when she sang Cherry Blossom on Later With Jools Holland in late 2015. She bundled a series of EPs to create her first album You & I in June 2016. Her voice has such a melancholic and authentic sob that she could easily be mistaken for singers like Nina Simone and Nancy Sinatra. After playing major festivals in France and the UK it is now time to venture further into Europe.
