Belgium’s Alice Mae grew up immersed in alternative rock and promised herself she would make authentic, no-nonsense rock music with a distinct feminine side in a predominantly male scene. Now, years later, she is fulfilling that promise after winning Studio Brussel's De Nieuwe Lichting 2025. Blessed with a great, raw voice, Alice Mae writes songs to give meaning to her messy mind and turn her thoughts into lyrics, hoping they will one day end up in a meaningful place.
