Bent Van Looy is well known as the frontman of Das Pop, the indie rock band that won Belgium's main music competition, Humo's Rock Rally. They've released four records so far and have toured all over the world. But that's just one thing Bent does; he's also a painter, a clothing designer and a drummer for Soulwax. His solo album, Round The Bend materialized while walking the streets of Paris, the city he now calls home. He recorded the album in Los Angeles with Jason Falkner, who also plays in his touring band. The record is a step away from the indie rock of his band, towards a piano pop sound that fans of David Bowie will appreciate, with lyrics that deal with all the meaningful things in life.
