Songwriters/guitarists Barry Quinlan and Sam Duffy first crossed paths at a 12-step rehab programme in Dublin. Three years on Bleech 9:3, completed by James Quinlan (bass) and Luke O’Neill (drums), are one of the most in-demand new live acts, after a storming 2025, plus a string of singles and one EP. Drawing from a shared adoration of acts like Radiohead, Deftones, Nirvana, Fontaines D.C. and Sleep Token, their sound is evocative, crunchy and in-your-face, deftly gliding between sharp, irrepressible melodies and heavy blasts of distortion.
