DARA has spent a decade turning Bulgarian pop into something the rest of the world couldn't ignore. She arrived in 2015 as a finalist on The X Factor Bulgaria, and followed up with a run of No. 1 airplay hits. Then, in 2026, DARA won the 70th Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Bangaranga’, a maximalist, unrepentantly fun pop statement that handed Bulgaria its first-ever victory. The song crossed over, landing at No. 90 on the Billboard Global 200 and making DARA the first Bulgarian artist in the chart.
