East India Youth
ESNS:
2014
Ay one time, the editor of music website, The Quietus would rather have decapitated himself with a nail clipper than start his own record label but that all changed when he heard William Boyle aka East India Youth. To get the songs of the 22-year old multi-instrumentalist from Bournemouth out into the world, he started the Quietus Phonographic Corporation and its first release was East India Youth's EP Hostel. Pitchfork called it "a heart-spinning, utterly exhilarating supernova", NME thought it was "Immensely creative" and The Guardian hailed it as "A remarkable distillation of electronica, krautrock, techno, singer-songwriter, synth-pop and systems music styles".
