It's hard to imagine that Emeli Sandé played sort of a small gig last year at Eurosonic. Since then her career took off. And what happened this year is only the beginning. Sold out shows, hits and even a performance at the opening ànd closing ceremony of the Olympics followed. Her mix of soul, current British dance and very well crafted songs proved to be a golden combination. Sandé is not merely a singer, she is also a gifted songwriter, for Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle and the reunited Sugababes amongst others. Although she didn't have much time lately to write songs, with all the time consuming success. There is no fear however of an early peak, Sandé worked with patience and a lot of conscience, the basis below her career is very firm.
