Escalation is like that stain at the back of your fridge: every time you see it, it’s bigger than the last time. This collective of young Dutch music addicts draws its inspiration mainly from the first two waves of ska, but also from genres such as punk and rhythm & blues, to create a unique cacophony (or rather, ‘skacophony’). Their live shows are swathed in an unprecedented chaos, where at some point the audience and band members become one indistinguishable mass.
