Words haven’t disappeared yet, but they’re almost used up. How do you still find the words to say what really matters? Meet Frans Kalf (22), a cynically cheerful bon vivant from Amsterdam and Ghent. With catchy songs and incisive lyrics, he takes you, under the approving gaze of Shaffy and Brel, into his bittersweet little world, with room for a broken heart, and a hearty laugh. Since his debut single, which blends chanson with indie and folk, Kalf has gained widespread recognition in Belgium and the Netherlands.
