Friends Glints and Faisal have been presenting Abattoir Anvers, the only hip hop show on Belgian national radio (Studio Brussel), for four years now. The Antwerp collective of the same name was founded in a former halal slaughterhouse where they both lived, worked and made radio shows. Now, rapper and singer Glints and producer Faisal made a whole album together featuring chopped soul and 80s samples mixed with heavy-hitting drums, synth-angel dust and humorous soundbites. The result is an original and fun, must-hear indie hip-hop album.
