Hellwana is a great discovery from the Czech scene. The singer, rapper and performer stands up for young women and positive body images. In 2017 she made a big statement with her first EP Sunbea, influenced by grime, R&B, neo-soul and trap, alongside artists like Jorja Smith and Skepta. Having spent her childhood in England, the language comes naturally, and in September 2018, Hellwana was voted the most promising progressive Czech act by an international jury for the music export project Czeching. Her debut LP is set for release in January 2019.
