Hilbrandt is the other name of Laurens van der Meulen, known from the art collective Heksenhamer and a core member of that band. At the end of 2014, Hilbrandt's debut album Haven was released, full of dark music inspired by the sea that is mostly about the pain of parting. But it's not all doom and gloom, because the band has plenty of dark humour so their lyrics never become too heavy.
