His Electro Blue Voice
ESNS:
2014
Thanks to their pioneering work in the late eighties, Seattle based record label Sub Pop will always be thought of as grunge. However, bands like the Italian three-piece, His Electro Blue Voice prove to the world that the label has more to offer. The band from Como has released dozens of EP's and singles with a raw mix of punk, industrial and noise. It's a sound that would scare bands like Swans and Unwound, but that's just one side of them, as their recently released debut album, Ruthless Sperm proves. Influences include The Wipers, Stooges and Big Black. The band is scheduled to play their first live shows in 2014.
