In October 2017, Berlin-based HOPE released their selftitled debut album. Together with producer Olaf Opal (The Notwist, Naked Lunch), the four musicians withdrew into an abandoned sanatorium near Berlin to record their music in the vast, empty rooms. They recorded eight songs that breath raw energy and at the same time frightening claustrophobia and touching vulnerability. Their dark smouldering sound is where slow trip hop beats and contemporary pop music meet.
