Much like Portishead's Beth Gibbons, Estonian composer Ingrid Lukas has an evocative voice that brings to life the most subtle emotions, ranging from delicate whispers to unbridled heart-wrenching cris-de-coeur. Her singing symbiotically interplays with her classically trained piano playing, taking the listener on a powerful and intricate emotional journey. Despite moving to Switzerland at an early age, Lukas's music retains a strong kinship with the place of her birth.
