"Platoon" is the very fitting title of the first track released by the London collective called Jungle. Fitting, because the track immediately made casualties of various DJ's, bloggers and music journalist when it was released on Chess Club Records back in May. Everyone who heard the track was mesmerized by it's subtle, neo-soul production, pop hooks and enchanting grooves. It's no wonder that their second single, The Heat, released in late October, was instantly picked up by BBC Radio 1, Guardian, Vice and KCRW. It's still unclear who's behind the Jungle moniker, but their first live show is scheduled for December 10th in London, meaning their show at Eurosonic will probably be their first international live show.
