Kai Schumacher brings the piano into the 21st century, bridging various worlds of music. Aged 15, he debuted with Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 2, studied piano and graduated with honours in 2009. Ever since, Schumacher has dedicated himself to American piano music of the 20th and 21st centuries, and rearranged grunge, heavy metal, and indie rock for the piano. But his repertoire also encompasses ambient, techno, and covers like Moderat’s song ‘New Error’.
