Kalush Orchestra won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with their song ‘Stefania’. Created in 2021 as a spin-off of the oriiginal project Kalush, the six-piece orchestra is one of the young representatives of the vibrant Ukrainian-language scene. But it stands out by combining ethnic music elements with modern sound production, hip-hop dances and Ukrainian-language rap. The multi-instrumentalists employ a variety of folk instruments like flute, heifer, trembita, horn, melodica and flute beatbox, and live, the mysterious KYLYMMAN (‘CarpetMan’) gets involved.
