The Amsterdam quartet that dubs itself Katadreuffe must have paid a lot of attention in Dutch Literature class. The name Katadreuffe is the name of the main character in Ferdinand Bordewijk's novel, Character. The four-piece was founded in 2007 and has since mostly been involved in the DIY-scene and Dutch underground where their mix of shoegaze, post-hardcore and noise rock is much appreciated. They've played shows both in the Netherlands and abroad (Belgium, France). So far two EP's have been released, Quel Gargantua! (2009) and Period (2011). Their debut album, Malconfort will be released in December.
