This year at Eurosonic, you'll be hearing more musical styles and genres than you ever could imagine, but we dare say you'll never hear anything like Koenigleopold. Leo Riegler and Lukas König are notorious in their hometown of Vienna, and not without reason. Their Dadaistic lyrics and improvised electronic grooves echo a love for disco and Einstürzende Neubauten, yet their music is totally incomparable to any other bands. No show is ever the same as the duo searches for common ground between theatre and performance. Their music evokes shame, humour, release, aggression, nuisance and euphoria, triggered by supreme sounds distilled from seven decades of pop music.
