Amsterdam producer/composer Perquisite likes to collaborate with other musicians. He started his career as one half of the duo Pete Philly & Perquisite, worked with others on his various soundtracks and made a solo album with a wide variety of vocalists. So it does not really come as a surprise that he made an album with jazzy singer-songwriter Kris Berry. The result, however, is a surprise, and a pleasant one at that. "Lovestruck Puzzles" was released in September and shows to musicians moving away from their comfort zone in order to meet each other in the middle. In the soulful compositions both the influence of Kris and Perquisite are recognisable, with an unique result. The tour in late 2013 will be extended into 2014.
