They are the notable artists on Homegrown 2011, the collection of unsigned hiphop talent. Dutch duo Kroons is not only the sole English singing band on the album, they also claim that their music is just music, not specifically hiphop, pop or electro, even though all these styles can be found in their music. That's the kind of musical freedom we know from Outkast. Lula Ross (Kim Erkens) and MC The Unnanounced Guest (Jordi Filali) met each other at the Dutch Rockacademy. Their collaboration started during a show they had to do together. Addicted to the big bang that came about when the two expressive performers gave their show, they joined forces. Kroons works with a bunch of producers and a debut album is being made. Before that, it are the shows that people are talking about. Like they describe it themselves, it gives the same bang as a cannonball in the swimming pool.
