M O N E Y
ESNS: 2014
When talking about music and Manchester, the names Joy Division, Factory Records and The Smiths always come up. To this day their legacy is still felt in the city, so it's no wonder they come up when talking about M O N E Y (capitals and spaces please) too. The classic Manchester sound can definitely be heard in this four piece, but they also picked up a bit from The Chameleons, Wu Lyf and The Verve. The combination of these influences leads to a grand, mystical and dark pop sound, and it can all be heard on their debut album 'The Shadow Of Heaven' (Bella Union), released in August.
