Manu Delago is a hang player and drummer who works with a wide variety of people, ranging from Icelandic singer Björk, Cinematic Orchestra and Bugge Wesseltoft to the London Symphony Orchestra and Anouschka Shankar. Delago was born in Tyrol, Austria but moved to London to study jazz drums at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. It was there that he started focussing on the hang, a Swiss instrument. He writes music for films, ensembles, his various bands and solo records, and has performed in more than 25 countries. His band, Handmade consists of him and three other musicians and they all switch between piano, vocals, violin, drums, keys and bass.
