The Boban i Marko Marković Orkestar has defined the true benchmark for Balkan brass. No other band played quicker, more cheekily or with more virtuosity. The ensemble provided music for films by Emir Kusturica and made Balkan brass music world famous. Now Boban’s son Marko has formed his own brass band, which plays gypsy folklore with gusto. And the musicians spice their songs with gypsy-reggae, sparkling jazz, Latin rhythms or dance floor beats. Inevitably leading to one big, ecstatic party.
