Berlin based singer-songwriter May The Muse has a German mother with Danish roots and an Afro-American ex-soldier for a father. She grew up singing, got kicked out of the choir and discovered her vocal versatility. On her first EP, due in January, she blends her personal story with day-to-day city life in Berlin. The first tracks are mesmerising, stripped down piano pieces, opening up and drifting on with percussive offshoots – creating a magical undertow that suggests wanderlust, a strong desire to break free.
