Inspired by her Greek origins, Melina Vlachos writes and composes melodies, which she sings while playing the oud and dancing, accompanied by double bass and oriental percussion. Melina grew up in Paris in a Franco-Greek family, studied with well-known artists on the Greek-Turkish scene, and mastered oriental repertoire and the art of improvisation. In her own musical project, traditional Balkan and Oriental music blend with pop influences, and her debut EP (June 2025) is the first expression of her poetic, urban, and magical universe. Melina has been nominated for the Music Moves Europe (MME) Awards, the EU prize for emerging European artists. Winners will be revealed at the award ceremony on 15 January, 2026 at ESNS.
