Merina Gris is formed in 2020 by three young artists from San Sebastian, the Basque outfit fosters anonymity and labels their music as "violent pop", wherein melodic aspects and catchy choruses coexist with the more aggressive elements. In March 2021, the band released ‘Zerua Orain’, their first LP, co-produced by the international producer and DJ Ed Is Dead. They followed the release by touring packed venues in the Basque Country and Spain.
