Sarah Dekker, the mind behind Moonloops, began her career in her bedroom. With a beaten-up guitar and a clear voice, she writes autobiographical indie pop songs inspired by artists like Cavetown and Phoebe Bridgers, that capture the complex uncertainty of growing up.
With over 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Moonloops has outgrown the bedroom and is ready to share her stories with the world. Along with a nationwide tour, she released her first studio album "Little Astronaut, Big Dreams" in January 2024. This album explores themes like loneliness, friendship, misunderstanding, and love with magical, cosy songs.
Dekker followed up her debut album with her EP 'an inch left to go', a collection of songs written during various phases of her career. The record shows a new, more grown up side of Moonloops, further touching upon the themes of her previous record.
Both her DIY roots and her big dreams are expressed in this new chapter of her growth as a young adult and musician.
