The Hague-based Mula has made an undeniable contribution to the development of Dutch hip-hop, and is regarded as a true pioneer. He was one of the first to introduce trap music through his label and collective, Wilde Westen, and his mixtape ‘D&G’ (2016, featuring LouiVos) is still considered a seminal album. In 2024, ‘Narcopop’ was awarded an Edison as a ‘groundbreaking album’. He brought that era to a close at a sold-out Afas Live, and has since been working on new music, building on his distinctive artistic direction.
