Throughout time and across cultures, people have used salt as a shield, sprinkled it to purify an area, and to safeguard against harm. With her new album, ‘Salt Around My Bed’, Mynolia sprinkles her music around like salt. The spectral folk singer-songwriter’s sophomore effort invites listeners into a deeply transformative space. After more than a decade living in Berlin, Mynolia began anew and landed in the American South. There, she could draw those curative breaths and bring forth her most transformative work to date. In January, she returns to Europe with a new album.
