Nayana “179” Sharma (mc alias: IZ) is a 17 year-old model, self-taught multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and rapper based in North London. She is a co-founder of NiNE8 division Hydration Studios, a queer/femme focused platform and underground music label for women in hip hop. Influenced by the likes of MF Doom, Roy Ayers, Tupac, Erykah Badu, N.E.R.D and Esperanza Spalding, Nayana channels her inner jazz band singer in more experimental takes on hip hop, RnB, soul and trap.
