19 year-old Nelcon is the newest talent emerging from the Utrecht hip hop scene. The inventive Dutch rapper dropped his first EP ‘Nelconic’ in May on Burning Fik, the quirky label of Faberyayo and Abel. Nelcon raps about the flats in his neighbourhood Overvecht and jokes about Amsterdam, but did travel to the capital to record with legendary producer Bas Bron (De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig). He has also made a name for his live performances at the Le Guess Who? Festival and opening for label mate Gotu Jim.
