Nusantara Beat is a six-piece psych-folk band from Amsterdam giving Indonesia's musical heritage a fresh, contemporary twist, and taking it into the future. Six young musicians of Indonesian descent pay tribute to the archipelago's rich musical traditions, effortlessly blending their inspirations from Indonesian pop, folk, and traditional styles like keroncong and dangdut, with elements of surf rock, soul, and garage. The result is a hypnotic mix of tropical melancholy and irresistible rhythms that take the audience on a journey to the land of their ancestors.
