The band chose the name of the band to pay homage to traditional African groups, and to give respect to one of the biggest names of 20th century art. This one-time musical collective, which started in Geneva's experimental venue Cave12, evolved into a full blown band over a period of years. Their third album Rotorotor is a manifesto for adventurous music expressed through versatile, playful and funny pop songs, which manage to combine festivity and war, with wedding dances and battle-cries.
