Portland visits the border between contemporary indie pop and authentic folk music, flirting with electronic sounds. Their dreamy, melancholic songs are doused in stunning vocal harmonies of Jente Pironet and Sarah Pepels. Portland was crowned winner of 'De Nieuwe Lichting 2018', the most important band contest on Belgian national radio. The independently released single Pouring Rain was streamed over 1 million times on Spotify, after which they signed a record deal with PIAS.
