Prāta Vētra is most likely the only band to have ever played both Eurosonic and the Eurovision Song Festival. The Latvian pop/rock band Prāta Vētra played the song festival in 2000, finishing third with their song My Star. Back home they're one of the biggest bands in the country with a slew of albums, hits and international tours on their résumé. Their records are translated into Russian and English, resulting in gigs all over Europe as support for the Rolling Stones, for example and at festivals like Sziget, Glastonbury and the Great Escape.
