Without having released a single track, RADIO Z had already announced a gig at Lowlands Festival. Then a carefully crafted build-up was followed by a series of singles, their own online radio station and a constant stream of visuals. The sky-high expectations were fully met, from Skatecafe Amsterdam to Lowlands, and four stars for their debut album. The gritty, layered and adventurous beats from producer Kabul $lim give rap veterans Dio and Ray Fuego plenty of scope to challenge one another. The resulting album switches effortlessly between social commentary, humour, chaos and pure hip-hop.
