Raffie is the Driver. What started as Goldband's chauffeur has, without even realizing it, become something completely different. Raffie is now on stage himself, an artist who makes audiences roar along, laugh, and sometimes even fall silent. With a voice somewhere between traditional Dutch folk and semi-ironic Dutch pop, he sings about longing, doubt, and self-deprecation. It sounds sincere, but never really deadly serious; slightly exaggerated, but with enough edge to resonate. He released three singles and two music videos in quick order, and performed at over thirty shows. His debut EP drops this spring, but first, Raffie the Driver will be at Noorderslag.
