Founder of the highly successful Portuguese group Madredeus, Rodrigo Leão combines pop melodies and classical arrangements, accompanied by a small ensemble. He has recorded with Beth Gibbons, Neil Hannon, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Ludovico Einaudi, and written film music for Wim Wenders and Oscar nominated The Butler. He also won praise from Pedro Almodóvar in Billboard Magazine; won many prizes and performed all over the world.
