Born in Zimbabwe where he played djembe in a marimba band, S1MBA moved to the UK at the age of nine. In his music you can hear his African roots, alongside the UK’s rich, innovative music culture. He names trap, hip hop and grime as influences. He collaborates with artists and producers like Clean Bandit, Shane Codd, Grades' Jake Gosling, and has dropped singles ranging from Afrobeat to UK rap, including viral TikTok hit ‘Rover’. In 2022 he continued expanding his sound, and dropped ‘On & On’ with Swedish singer-producer A7S.
