Before starting her solo career, Sarah-Jane built up a name as a backing vocalist for several big names from the Dutch music industry including Sabrina Starke and Glennis Grace. The singer also worked with international artists, performing at an after show for D'Angelo and doing backing vocals for Rita Marley. In 2014, Sarah-Jane released her first single Psychedelic Love, which saw her named as New Soul and Jazz Talent by Dutch station Radio 6.
